about

Hooray! Another song about alcohol! Or a bartender. Up to you really. Cheers!

lyrics

A city full of angels and my favorite is upstairs.
I'm drawn there she's the answer to my prayers.
Back lit she stands my religion, my vision from heaven that's fallen upon my present.
With a smile that could end all grace, her eyes liquid amber, her wings out of place.
She loads up my Bulleits, I treat those shots like blanks. Pour me another just so I can forget why I came.
Novacane, she's the chemist for our pain. Her prescriptions addictive yet we follow all the same.
Up the dosage 'til the numb consumes. Sitting here watching as she tends my wounds like hellooooooooo nurse.
She's always on call when it starts to hurt. As she pours her allure right into my veins I can just make out her smile as it starts to fade.

In a city full of angels but for her I'm aflame. It's like fate when I'm with her it's the charm of her claim. She could be my world, together we could reign. So I'll say this prayer as many times as it takes.

She's my favorite kind of escape. The kind you adore, the kind that you hate. The kind that takes hold with a manic embrace and won't let go without that one last taste.
We're all pushed ahead at the speed of pain. I'm just keeping ahead it's her life in my veins.
She's my enabler, I favor her, sometimes I take after some others but in the end it's back to her like:
Once for the misery, twice for the pain, three times for hate, and yet I still come again. Still I don't wane, trapped in the same always the same. Time after time, and shame after shame like it was fate.
Addicted to her taste, uncut with smoke and such venom to burn nerves so as to fade with no trace until I can't feel a thing then let go, to hate someone else for a change.

In this city full of angels still it's her that I crave. Addicted through the shame, with her there's no pain. She became my world from the serpents taste, so I'll say this prayer as many times as it takes.

Do I love you? The angel that's filled me with this hymn. Clouded my vision with her image and charmed me to her whim.
Or do I love you? The spirit that gave my angel wings, and led me through deceit until she's tangled up my strings.
I love you This angel who's afforded my sins. Twisted my vision with her venom until grief became motif.
I know I love you. The spirit that graced me with release until grace turned disease cultivated by this drink. Now wait,

Let's go back, was that love or hate? "I can't take this anymore!" distilled ravings of fate.
Backstrokes everyday in this bottle but I can't find escape. I can't find myself I'm lost in my daze, I'm drowning with haste, I'm crowning the shade.
No one can catch me now, I'm too far to chase. Trainspotting with swallowed tracks so you can't trace my fade.
Hail Mary? I hail whiskey like she's my patron saint. Drinking my penance, how many prayers does it take?!
Once for the pain, and twice for the pain, three times for-- aw fuck it man it all ends the same.
Trapped in the same, always the same. Is this my fate? Deja Vu endless replay? No peace, just turning graves?
Your vice grips so great I can't seem to escape. Relapse into your arms when I can't find closure.
Until I wake up, and reach for you to lessen my ache.
When all my friends are made of glass there ain't no point in staying sober.

A city full of angels but for her I'm a slave. Held in her embrace, I'm bound by glass chains She could destroy my world, I'd kill for such grace so I'll say this prayer as many times as it takes. x3

In this city full of angels but for her I'm a slave. Held in her embrace, I'm bound by glass chains She could destroy my world, I'd kill for such grace so I'll drink my prayers as many times as it takes.
